Music Birth, Taught by Marie Bigelow, MT-BC, CD(DONA)

One night class, 6:00 to 9:00 pm, $50
Music plays an important role throughout our lives.  We create the perfect playlists for our weddings, our workouts, our road-trips, and even our bad days.  Music enhances our most meaningful experiences, and can do the same during your birthing experience.  Learn how to make your labor playlists, and which comfort measures to use with each list.

Music Birth teaches how our bodies naturally respond to music, and how we can use those responses to promote relaxation, block the pain response, and support all of our birthing comfort measures.  Music is included!
This class is ALL comfort measures!  Topics include:
Stages of labor
Comfort measures for each stage of  labor
Music for each stage of labor
Music as Pain Management (Audio-analgesia)
Music and Relaxation
Music and Massage
Music and Breathing
Music for Prenatal Bonding
Benefits of music for baby
